I write Google Apps Script that moves real shipments every five minutes, build Shopify stores in four languages, and make small-business websites that know when the shop is open. Japanese and English, in the same sentence if needed.

The five-minute shipping pipeline

A Shift_JIS CSV lands in Drive. Within five minutes it has been split into three monthly master sheets by return month, stale VLOOKUPs healed, the letter-pack column ticked, today's rows moved to a shared 発送管理 sheet, the count report updated, and the vendor emailed. An evening run sends tomorrow's preview.

Japan Road Trip Kit

A snow-sock store for travellers renting cars in Japan, picked up at ten rental counters. Customised Horizon theme, custom language dropdown, a snow-areas map page, and translations restored and verified through the Admin API after a theme migration wiped them.

A site that knows when you're open

A single static page for salons, workshops and small shops in Kawaguchi. No WordPress, no plugins to patch, free hosting. The contact form posts to Apps Script, writes to a Sheet, emails the shop and replies to the customer, so there is no monthly form fee.

Second Brain

A private Git repository that gives every AI assistant I work with the same memory. One command, /end-it, closes a conversation into a journal, durable memories, decisions and tasks, validates them against JSON Schema, rebuilds a graph of how they connect, and pushes one commit. A weekly review proposes merges but never deletes on its own.

Spending log

A scheduled task reads a day of card-notification email, appends each charge to a JSON log (deduplicated on date, merchant and amount), and feeds a dashboard. No card numbers stored, ever.

Hand-built, no template. It reads the date in Tokyo, finds the current solar term, and takes its colour from the traditional Japanese name for that season.

A name like mine needs a calendar.

Japan splits the year into 24 short seasons of about fifteen days. Each one below carries a traditional colour. Tap any of them to see this page in another part of the year.

How I build

Four rules I keep.

Learned from scripts that break at 2 a.m. and stores that must work in four languages.

Use the real timezone.

Opening hours, triggers and pickup windows are computed in Asia/Tokyo, so they are right for a customer checking from anywhere.

No invented numbers.

If a figure isn't measured, it doesn't go on the page. A visible gap is better than a confident guess.

Choose what you can undo.

Static files over a CMS, Git over a database, a separate deploy file over editing production in place.

記

Write the decision down.

Every real choice gets a record with its reason and its source, so the next person — or the next AI — doesn't re-argue it.
